Default *New Cam*...old tune....

Ok fellas going to pick up my car this afternoon. Need quick responses. The new cam is a 234/247 .595 .610 112+3. The old cam was 233/239 .595 .603 113. Ok i know variables are going to change, just want responses on how much? Again i know there is no REAL way to know w/o a wide band. Just under a MAJOR money crunch and very well may not be able to have another tune for a week. Be gentle and try to keep the negative BS comments to a minium.

It doesn't look like a big change, so you might be okay to drive it as long as you don't hit the high RPM bands. I am not an expert though.

Not a big change. Valves held open a little longer but IMHO I wouldnt drive unless I absolutely had to. Better be safe than it cost more money down the line especiallly with no wideband

It doesn't look like much of a change. You should be OK as long as you drive it somewhat easy. I would imagine the computer will be able to adjust for that change as long as it stays in closed loop, which is no problem for "normal" street driving (aka not spirited Vette driving).

Thanks for the replys guys. He actually ended up tunning it. He didnt hook up a wideband but he pulled the old file out and made minor adjustments here and there. Drove it around and pretty much nailed it. Picked her up tonight and I fell in love all over again!!! Pulls harder to me and correction its a 234/242.
