Chuck has tuned my 06 Coupe and my 02 ZO6 and Ive recommended him to hundreds of other forum members and all my local friends. ALL of them have been extremely happy with his tuning or modding NONE of them have had any issues.

Chuck goes out of his way to make his customers happy. He is one of the most knowledgeable tuners that I have ever met. The COW booster in a C5 Works very well.. The COW BOOSTER in C6 works phenomenal! Chuck is the only tuner that can pull that off in a C6.

Give him a call and discuss you needs and goals. I'm positive that you will be happy. Hes having an IN SHOP SPECIAL the week of Carlisle.

Maybe you can take advantage of that special.

The forum is a CRAZY PLACE..... It's too bad you don't have to pass a test or some type of mental evaluation

before becoming a member... ANYBODY can join.

If you look, you'll find thousands upon thousands of superlative reviews on this forum

for the work that I do and the tunes that I offer.

And, while every vendor has antagonists and hecklers, typically the only people bashing me

are people that have NEVER MET ME OR HAD ME DO ANY WORK FOR THEM.

Interestingly enough, I've always wondered how you can justify bashing a vendor

that you've never met or done business with... Pretty weird, huh?

This forum is a VERY POLITICAL place no different than your workplace or a grammar school playground.

People tend to "support" their tuners or the shop they use by bashing the competition.

I'm not one to sugar coat things or beat around the bush... I'm pretty much DIRECT with people.

I tell it like it is.....Not so much what I "THINK".... But how it is. Occasionally, people

feel challenged by that, but that's ok. This forum has millions of members and thousands

of different personalities we all have to deal with.... Some are polite and easy to work and

get along with.....while others think it's their JOB to make things difficult....

We get all kinds here..... Compared to other tuners on this board, I don't think that there are many

that have the broad customer base that I have, and by the numbers, I'm sure I have a few more haters

just because of the volume of people that I deal with every day.

None the less....Using those same numbers as a guide, I likely have more supporters

than most other shops as well...... Take it for what it's worth.....

Some people love me like their brother and praise my work, while others just can't seem

to find anything nice to say.....

Again, if you look around....99% of the "Chuck CoW HATERS" never did business with me.

Anyway, We will NOT be a Carlisle this year, but on the same days, we will be hosting an

event here at our shop called "CoWlisle" this year.

There is a thread about it on this forum if you search for it..

Please call any time if you need more info.
Thanks
Chuck CoW

Any "bashing" is simply just the nature of a mail order tune--You have to use common sense to figure out why a mail tune is $150 and a dyno or driven tune is $450
Mail order tunes are great--and Chuck is one of the best !!!! but they have limitations-because they don't have REAL access to the car and the ability to drive the car---On a lightly modded bolt on car It's not too big of a deal --But on say a heads/cam/headers car it can be overwhelming for a mail order tuner to get it 100% correct on the 1st attempt--
So they have to make "Guesstamations" on some tables and error on the side of safe--
However a dyno tuner would do the same thing !!! But he has the car !! and can make corrections immediately while driving the car !!!---No back and forth mailing of ECM--
Same deal on a turboed or SC car---
Finally depends to on where you live--In calif here the gas quality varies from county to county-- as does the Ehtanol content--- Ignition timing is a very important part of the tuning process--- It would be very difficult to accurately tune timing by mail on the 1st attempt in a place where the gas quality can change so quickly---Not a big deal for someone who just wants a little performance gain--But for a serious type driver timing is huge and dialing it it can be worth lots of HP---
Bottom line it all depends on your realistic goals for the projected use of your car--and not forgetting the mods you've alrready done and any "future" plans

I've read comments about Chuck taking many hours to tune a car. From that, it sounds like he does really take his time to make sure the details are taken care of. I'm sure others here would agree that tuning both the MAP and MAF tables takes more than a couple of dyno runs. Then, there's stuff like the throttle cracker to adjust not to mention the tuning to make the auto shift how you want, which can take as much time as the engine tuning. I likely put 30+ tunes into the first auto I tuned just for the trans.

The CoW Booster on a C5 really isn't that big a secret. There is a table that can be adjusted to change the pedal vs throttle position. I've read the TAC can be screwed up by the wrong data so some experience knowing what can be used in the table is good.

well i dont know what happened to my tach. when i purchased the car when the car is turned off the tach stops at 2000 rpm. Do you know if there is anyway to correct this problem without changing the entire gauge cluster?

Spending TOO MUCH TIME is NEVER a bad thing.... The more time you spend, the better your

data and results are.....

I had my 04 tuned in Calisle last year , runs great and better on gas, my only issue is that my wife is a little scared of it now , the throttle response is fantastic
No complaints here , I even had a 1/2 chat with Chuck. He explained what he was going to do, Ron

A few seasons back I was going to take a road trip with some buds to get Chuck to tune my heads/cam engine, since we were short of good tuners up here at the time. I finally did get it set up with a tune from Arun, however, and couldn't be happier, but as far as Chuck goes, he tuned a friend's 402 Harrop engine after several other experts had their hands on it, and did an amazing job, spending many hours to get it right.....that engine runs amazing now, well over 550 rwhp, and drives like a stocker in the city.....not many can set them up like he did.....I wouldn't hesitate to use him if I had the need and opportunity....

Chuck tuned my 04 A4 convertible in Orlando back in June. Very happy with the results on probably the worst, rainiest day you could schedule a tune!

I then installed the low temp stat the following weekend and if you haven't done it, there is nothing worse than inhaling coolant in a hot/humid Florida garage. Any easy mod, just time consuming and uncomfortable during the heat.

The car is driving great and really jumps off the line.
