I have a C5 Z06 and I'm planning on upgrading to Z51 sized brakes. I need 18" front wheels so I was going to get some C6 Z06 wheels. I know the OEM wheels protrude a little so I was going to get aftermarket wheels.
I was wondering was sized tires I would need to give me overall stock dimensions if I used 18x9.5" wheels on all four corners?
If I ordered the offset wheels, what size tires would I need for 19x10" (or 19x12") wheels in the rear and 18x9.5" in the front?
Thanks for your help, I found a lot of thread relating to wheel and tire sizes but nothing about my question.
Okay, I ended up buying a set of C6 Z06 reproduction wheels. They're 18x9.5" all around. My question is what size tires do I need in the front to keep the correct offset? Should I continue to run 295/35 18 in the rear like I have now?
Tires don't have an offset, but the wheels do. If you bought C6 Z wheels, hopefully they were made for a C5, in which case your offset has been taken care of. If they're made for a C6 then you may need spacers. There are a lot of threads regarding this issue.
As far as tires go, 275/35-18 for the front and 285/40-18 for the rear will fill out your wells perfectly. You can use the 295/35s in back if you want but their overall diameter is smaller than the 285s.
