Fan/Cooling Trouble
2000 6 speed. My vette does not cool down like it should when the A/C is on. Instead it heats up, but only when the fans are operating. Over 35 mph the fans shut down and the vehicle cools down. I checked some threads for info and found #49 fuse blown. Checked the fans and sure enough drivers side fan is not operating. I tried turning the fan by hand and it seemed to turn freely.
Purchased another fuse. Within the 2 mile drive back home the fuse blew again. I had the A/C on to see if the car would cool down during the drive. It did not. I checked codes and I have a P0480 H. Did some research on that code. Seemed to be a short or ground issue. Checked and cleaned the ground pack near the passenger side hood strut because I thought I read somewhere that was the appropriate one to clean.
I checked Relay 45. It looked clean like it was new. My conclusion here is that I have a short somewhere in the wiring, but I am not sure where to start. I was thinking of working my way back through the harness from fan 1, but I wanted some suggestions before I start because I hate wiring. What do you guys think?

When you say a direct fused source of power, how much power are we talking about? Can I go straight off of the battery with a 30 amp fuse between?
Thanks for the help!
