Ok, problem #2 for the day, though I have had this problem for a while and I am tired of my dash lights being all lit up. I have a C1232 C. I get the messages ABS, traction control, and active handling. A while back I replaced the jumper from the hub to the frame. The connectors still look good.
I disassembled the female connector on the frame and began to bend it to make it look nice. Put it all back together and no joy. I tested the voltage from the connector and got 4.75. I guess that is .5 too high. I decided to check the hub resistance and voltage anyway.
Hub resistance was around 1000 ohms (in spec to my knowledge) and when I spun the hub I got 1v AC approximately. I researched and it was supposed to be around 100mv. I believe 1000 mv is equal to 1 v. I had my digital multimeter set to ACV 200. I believed that was the right setting (maybe I am completely wrong). I am not an electrical genius and that is why I am here. I should add that the C1232 sets immediately as the car is turned on, no driving needed. I thought that might take the hub out of the equation, but maybe not.
Questions: Is my hub out of spec?
Should I need to start looking for a short in the wiring from the frame harness back?
Any logical suggestions would help. I really want to get this all fixed up.
I feel your pain. I have a 2001 coupe and spent the last two days going over everything I can find. I changed out the hub just in case, I was getting some weird readings. No change, I pulled the connector at the grounds behind the headlights and sanded the base of the ground stud and the lugs. Then I cut the wires and connected them directly to the ground stud. Still get the C1232H when I get to 35/40 mph. Not sure where to go next. The car runs perfect no reduced speed or any other codes. This is really frustrating.
