Could not find what I need in the Forum.

What is the tire brand recommended for best ride and highest tire wear life for C5s? Thanks.

This is my 1st vette but not my first sports car and I can tell you that you are going to have to give in one area to satisfy the other. Long wear and great ride feel traditionally do not go hand in hand with each other. Especially in the low profile form. Help us help you by telling us what is more important to you feel and grip or treadwear. What are you looking to spend? I'll second the KDW's though as I had them on my last Stang and they were great on the street. I did some auto cross and drags with these tires as well and they hooked fine and had pretty linear grip. Before those tires I had some Hanook Ventus tires and i did not care for them. They are cheaper and will last longer but the grip wasn't there and I think it was a harder ride as well.

I use Toyo T1S or T1R. They have great performance (dry and wet). I get 40K+ on each set. I am don't drag, autocross, or road race on these tires, just normal daily driving. I live in the pacific northwest so wet performance is important to me. One down side, they don't like temperatures below freezing and do get slick in below freezing temps.

I had KDW's on a Harley F-150 and they tramlined like crazy - didn't love them in the water. My Z06 came with T1R's and I don't like the feeling they give when pushed past max. I've ran Continental Sport Contacts which were better and hands down Michelin Pilot Sport 2's have been the best tire I've ran. Michelin came out with a model that will replace the PS2, called the Pilot Super Sport which isn't N spec (so it's less costly) and has a 300 tire wear rating. I'll be going with this tire on my next set. I recommend you do too!

My vote is for the Michelin Pilot Sport All season run flats. Good ride, quiet and a 30,000 mile warranty on the rears. they've been great in the surprise rainstorms here in sunny Florida. Nice traction when I feel like driving like an idiot too.

Default c5 tires

Just switched to the Michelin All Season Runflats in stock c5 sizes.

Can't bellieve the difference in ride and sound level.

Feel much more confident in the rain and grip well when dry.

I live in CT (similar to your climate) and find the TOYO T1R a VERY good tire for traction in summer and also holds its own in cold weather. NOTE! NO performance tire works well below 40 degs BUT,, The T1R does a VERY VERY good job maintaining traction in COLD weather.
CCW 505a 19" rims

Wear is also excellent as well as noise free operation. VERY happy with the tire on my 02 Z, & 06 coupe,,

Go Michelins. you won't be sorry. Pilot Sport Z/P PS2. Absolutely the finest in ALL respects ! A few $ more but worth every cent.
This is an honest evaluation.

My vote goes here. But, very little cold weather in Dallas and I don't drive if its below freezing.

Default Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus!!

What a great tire! Replaced stock Goodyear run flats with these NON run flats. The difference is astounding. Road noise is much reduced. Bump steer is gone. Tracks straight as an arrow. Ride is much better. Traction, both wet and dry, is excellent!

Would definitely recommend to anyone with Vette! Love these tires.
