I need to change the diff fluid in my 03 Z06. I have a hand pump that I use to change the lower unit oil in my boat. The end of the fill tube screws into the lower unit for that. Will that pump work in my car? What kind of pump do you use?
I bought a hand pump from Autozone (white plastic thing) for about $8. Pump screws onto bottle and the tube has a clip that helps keep the tube in the fill hole while you operate the pump.
As an aside, I always remove the fill plug first before draining. Helps the drain time, and if there is an issue removing the fill plug you're not left with an empty diff - it can be a mess filling it through the drain hole.
I screwed up. if you're asking about filling then any pump with a hose that would fit into the fill hole would work. Or, you can go "old school" and just use a piece of hose on the nipple of the bottle.

Your marine lower unit hand pump will work fine.
Just remove the plastic threaded fitting from the tubing, and then use it to pump the new gear oil into the fill hole on the diff.
