Default Ls6 intake question

I have a 2000 vert. Does anyone know the difference between ls6 intake manifold part number 88894339 and 12573572? Purchased the first but received the second and not sure if it is correct intake for my 2000 vette ls1. Thanx.

I was being a d1ck and gave you the difference of those two numbers.

Seriously though, it is an LS6 manifold. That is the casting number, not necessarily a part number.

if it flat on the bottom it is an LS6 regardless of part #. curved is an 00 or older LS1.

It is flat. It has a gm marked electrical connector on the rear next to the inlet for a hose. But there is a tag that says "made in mexico" though. Is this anything to worry about? I don't want to be keeping a obvious knockoff.

LOL calm down buddy. Read my post. The numbers are casting numbers of ls6 manifolds. You got the right part.

Mea culpa to jack. Shot from the hip, so a bit edgy. Not a good feeling wondering if you have been ripped off. Also thanx to baxsom.

If you pretend to believe that I didn't have to google "mea culpa", then we'll call it even.

No worries man. You got the right stuff!

An LS6 is an LS6. The 572 came on the later models. Not sure why they changed numbers, but the runner length, plenum volume, etc are all the same in the different part numbers.

I know that ls1 engine throttle bodies are drive by wire. This ls6 intake has bosses on the passenger side to enable, most likely, f-bodies to mount the tb cable and that is the only difference i could find.

To capnjack: The numbers are not casting numbers they are, in fact, gm part numbers.
