To my knowledge all of the C6 shifters are the same in design and components with a single exception. The early C6 Z06 shifter boxes had the solid steel bushings, as opposed to rubber bushings, where the shifter box bolts to the torque tube. I believe the solid bushings were discontinued in 2010 or so. Now all of the C6 shifter boxes use the rubber bushings. Seems that there were issues with the solid bushings causing rattling or vibration problems. If you're only going to replace your shifter, and not the shifter box as well, then it is not an issue in any case. If you're going to replace the complete shifter assembly then you have a choice to get the older Z06 style with the solid bushings or the newer, standard, style with the rubber bushings. I replaced the complete assembly in my C5 Z a couple of years ago. Both my original C5 Z box and my replacement 2008 C6 Z box have the solid bushings and I have never had any rattling or vibration with either setup.
Bottom line is, to my knowledge, the only difference in the 2 setups is the rubber bushings, everything else is the same.
Hope that helps!
