Default Re-tune needed with headers?

I'm having lg street series headers, with high flow cats and x pipe installed this week. I currently have b+b cat backs with vararam intake with dyno and road tune. After puting on the headers, cats and x pipe is it necessary to get it re-tuned or should i be ok?

Thanks!

You will need a tune to maximize power. Also its likely you will get a check engine light after a little driving. It will need tuned out if you want it off.

I was told yes and no..anyways you might get an engine light.and when i had mine done it was 354 hp then 371 after header xpipe nocat.and 381 after tune.so yes you will get more hp if its tuned.and if you dont it might run lean and screw something up..

Any time you modify the intake or exhaust on a fuel injected vehicle it is best to get the AFR adjusted for max power.

Absolutely !! needs a tune---for several reasons
1st the 02 bungs on the LT's are further back than with the stock manifods--so you get erreoneous 02 data---You open up a whole new can of worms with LT's---It will make your P/T fueling richer than the stoich 14.68 ( usually richens to about 14.0-14.5-- even though the data logger says otherise--The only way to get the P/T fuel back to stoich is with tuning and a wideband--However you will never get it exactly back to 14.68--The stock narrowband 02's are just not accurate below or above 14.68--- (.450 millivolts)--You can have your tuner do a few things to help---Also many people will install the rear 02's onto the front locations--The rear 02's are more sensitive and heat up better-but still not a 100% fix--
Also as far as timing goes-the thinner walled LT's will pick up new strange noises which it will interpret as knock--This is called " false knock "--Again can be corrected with tuning
And finally you will get false codes with the LT's related to the rear 02's which can be permanently deleted with tuning--You may also get front 02 "slow response codes"
