Default Something is chirping inside my 2002 coupe! Need help!

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help me determine where this sound is coming from. To explain it, it only happens when driving down the road (caused by vibrations) and any type of hard road texture makes it chirp louder. When not moving and the engine is on, there is no sound at all and it IS DEFINITELY in the interior somewhere.

I've done countless searches for similar issues on the c5 coupe model years but to no avail. Here are the several locations I've checked to find where the heck this sound is coming from:

1) First off, I'll explain that it is NOT the roof because the sound is still there when the targa is removed. I also apply the rubber GM grease to all rubber and metal contact points of the roof so thats not it.

2) I thought it might be the seat belts, because I noticed that when you tug on the upper belt (comes out of the side of the pillar) it made a squeaky sound. I sprayed WD-40 in there and it cleared it up but the sound persists.

3) One thread mentioned the steering column near the pedals where some slight metal is exposed. Although I couldn't really see where to exactly spray, I sprayed this area with WD-40 and the sound is still somewhere in my car.

Since then, I've gone through the whole vehicle trying to wiggle any of the seats, mirror, doors, hatch latches, etc. but to no avail.

Any Ideas....? Honestly guys, it sounds like a baby bird lives in my car when I go down the road, and its quite embarrassing if I were to have a friend ride along.

More than likely the driver's seat.

Have a friend drive the car and go with a stethoscope. Remove the normal metal end of the stethoscope allowing you to use the open hose end to directionally find where the sound is coming from.
