While driving home from Carlisle I found that my car would rev to 3000 and hold it, no matter what. I connected HP Tuners and saw that my TPS is at 13% when it should be at 0% (no pressure on gas pedal). Not only was my 6 hour ride home interesting but very annoying. I was going to start by cleaning the TB? Anyone get this before? Dangerous to say the least
I cleaned the TB out, and it really wasn't that dirty. Started the car and TPS reads 6% and after a few small revs it went to 7%. I imagine with the long drive it would go back to 13%
Edit: Been doing some research and the TPS % will never be zero. I will run the russ k idle config tomorrow and use those numbers for the base idle air and see if it was just commanding too much. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know. I will also check to vacuum leaks with carb cleaner (spray and see idle rise ?)

I believe in the Beer Fairy
It does not appear so. I just tried that on mine, and when I got in it said the tps @ 17%. Hit the pedal and released, it went down to 10%. Many more tries, lift quick, 10% every time. 99% max.
Mine was working 20 min ago when I went to get lunch, but that doesn't mean much. It may have broke since and I would not be surprised
Does the TPS output the full 0-100% range with the engine not running?
YES check this--Also because the drive by wire TB's do NOT have an IAC assembly--they introduce added air at start up via the Throttle blade
It usally is never at "0" % until you lift of the throttle like after a freeway cruise
Depending on on you car and your MODS--it could be your tuner changed the throttle follower or cracker tables
List your mods---and if it's been tuned----Any new mods since the tune ?
I will have to verify the tps % with the car off. I am tuning it myself and have everything but the idle dialed in. Ran the russ k idle config and the base idle air was 30-40% over what his histogram said. So I updated it and its idles much better now. Updating the base idle air lead me to another problem that didn't exist before. When I hit the gas in neutral and let off the rpms dip to 500 then recover to my set idle rpm. I have logs and such if anyone wanted to look at it and provide feedback (have a thread on htptuners forums waiting for help).
With base idle air being too much im sure it played a role in all of this. Going to look at TC next.

AI 226cc heads (243 castings)
SNL v4 camshaft
XS Power headers + borla stingers
all the other little things
To aid idle --with a cam change--It helps idle to ADD 2-3* of timing in the "base timing in gear and the base timing in P/N" in he idle RPM ranges
ALSO to eliminate dying when lifting off the throttle- both in gear and in P/N-- use the "throttle follower table" Start by subtracting 5% to both---If it still wants to die--subtract a little more-----If you go to far the idle will "hang" when lifting---then back it off some---
