Corvette C6 has this nice feature that when you open door the window goes slightly down and then wehen you close the door the window goes back up a bit. In my C5 when I try to close the door, the window hits a little plastic piece on top and goes over thar piece instead of underneath it. That feature to move the window up on door close would be very useful for me right now. Is there any way to get it installed on a C5?
The reason why the window hits the plastic is because the roof goes slightly too low. The door is perfectly fine and there is no way to adjust the roof. Only other possible solution in my head would be to permamently prevent window from going all the way up somehow. If there is an easy way to do this, I would be fine with this solution as well.
This is a different solution to your issue but it works for me. I have a Door Caddie installed (plugs into the OBD port under the stearing wheel) that will raise the windows from the full down position and lock the car and the third push on the key fob and will lower the windows on the third push with unlocking the car. I find this handy to be able to close the rear hatch without slaming it down with the windows up and car locked.
Sounds like you either need to adjust the blow out clip higher, or adjust the window tilt in to fit under the clip. Both adjustments are discussed on the forum and the window tip in can be done with the door panel on.
You can also go through the bottom of the door and reach the screws to fine adjust the window height. Just ajust the window so it doesn't go so high. It should hit just below the lip on the weatherstripping and then push up into the lip as the door closes. They are inverted Torx though so you'll need a special socket.
Thanks, @lionelhutz (and everyone else, too) - I don't have the inverted torx screwdriver to adjust the height but adjusting the angle of the window with regular 10 mm socket wrench helped. I changed the angle so that the window points towards the car as much as possible and now the window barely fits underneath the plastic piece. Problem solved. Thanks again everyone.

Good luck.
You should not have to slam it down regardless. Just lay it down until it rests on the latches, then just push it down on both sides. It prevents unnecessary slamming and the pressure increase in the cabin, which sometimes does not allow the rear hatch to close.
I have never slammed or let any panels close on their own. The only exception are doors on older vehicles, because they weigh a metric ton!!
Be careful, excessive tilt on the window will wear it and make it loose and floppy when the door is open. The PO of my car did that to try and make the window seal instead of adjusting the window up to the weatherstripping properly and it now flops around with the door open.
