It seems like a really good deal for a set of brand new stock heads for $520.00. i could slap these on the same time i install my ls6 inake that i already have sittin in the garage.
I think you are getting into to many projects at one. You need to find out what you want to do with the car. Heads and cam, or FI. You can do the heads and intake to make the FI kit better. But the cost is going to go way up to do everything.

Thats the only reason i was going to get the heads if they were better then my 806. and they are stock. wasnt looking to actually produce alot of hp from these heads and would keep my stock cam. just didnt know if it would support the fI better then my 806 heads which i have heard alot of bashing on. so it would just be stock ls1 motor, with stock 799 heads ls6 intake and fI. might not even be worth the head change but thought i would ask if the 799s would be better and worth the swap . but i have decided to just go with the FI instead of the big cam and heads, stall converter, rear ......

I think thats smart. A supercharger will make an incredible difference and you will love it. The little things wont make much difference. Dont get me wrong. The 799's or 234's are better heads and will make more power. But nothing like just slapping the FI kit on. You are talking about a lot more work and money to get a new set of heads on the engine.
