I just installed a Pro Comp intake manifold (polished) with new fuel rails. The check engine light goes on after a few mile throwing a code telling me bank 1 and bank 2 are running lean. Anyone has a possible solution to the problem? I was thinking the map sensor seal is not correct? Could this be the problem? I sprayed all the injectors to check for air leaks but found none. I did not change the intake size or injectors. Do i need a different map sensor. At wits end trying to figure this out. Thanks for the help.

You have an air leak somewhere after the MAF.

Did you torque all the intake bolts to spec? Use a new gasket kit? It could be back at the map sensor. Or just a runner gasket if the intake is hitting something underneath and cant seal down all the way. Did you connect the little vacuum tube that leads to the map sensor housing? Its easy to miss if its your first time back there.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think i found the problem- we ran the croos over line across the back of the intake and its pretty tight against the firewall. I think everytime you get on it it pushes on the fuel rail and probably the map sensor also causing air/gas to leak and throwing all kinds of crazy codes form the map. Just a minor overlook on our part. Very tight back there- going to move the crossover to the front where it belongs with different fittings.
