Default What size injectors

I have a stock 1999 with 17,000 mi. I am going with AFR 1510 heads, comp cam 212/218 @ 0.50 0.558/0.563 115 sep ,LS6 intake and ported LS6 throttle body. Should I change my stock fuel injectors, and if so what size and brand. I think stock is 28lb. Thanks

Get a tune and find out what your injector duty cycle is. If its 80% or higher change them to red top 36#'s. You should be fine with those at that power level IMHO

Stock injectors on a '99 are 26lb. GM changed them up several times over the years. But you probably won't need to upgrade.

Look no further. Both of the answers above are spot on.
The stock injectors very well may be o.k., but the only way to know is have the duty cycle of your injectors looked at when the tuning for the new H/C combo.

Depends on how much power you are making. If you are at Z06 power levels with mild bolt ons (390hp or less), then I would just buy some used Stock C5 Z06 injectors (28.5#) ....if you are planning to do more mods, get much more hp, then go for something bigger than that.

Just my honest opinion. Those heads are way to expensive and overkill for such a small cam... 243 heads flow absolutely fine for .580" lift and even .600" with a port and polish. You can get a used set for around $400 and have them decked and cleaned up and an new set of springs installed. You can even choose your cc's to up compression if you want.

I will be going with a 224/228 .583"/.588 114lsa cam and the 243 heads will be fine for that setup.

I dont know if you are getting some kind of deal, but if not, dont pay for AFR's for such a small cam.
