I'd like a trailer hitch for my C5, but am unsure how to go about getting one installed... I've heard of a hitch on one before, but don't know the details. I'd just need a class 1, less than 1000lb trailer weight for racing tires, compressor, etc. Anybody know of a custom trailer hitch shop that could/would fit my C5 with a receiver hitch? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
Andy's is the best if he would make it and sell it. It was pretty fun doing burn outs towing his to jet ski's around town. Got a lot of looks and wow's. I am sure it inspired some people to work harder. Goes right behind the liscense plate and is not visible when there is not trailer.
I'm happy with my Da Lan, you can search for a good link to the install. I cut 4" off the receiver back end so it wasn't so noticeable, and now have to use an extension (2" to 1&1/4" adapter, actually) for the bike rack. The adapter isn't rated for towing, but it's so beefy, I wouldn't worry about it. The DaLan guy I talked to was willing to send some 1 & 1/4" square-bar stock so I could extend the rack hitch, but I was in a hurry for a solution. No stock to be found locally. If you fabbed up the extension, then you'd have a recessed hitch and Class II towing, I think.
