Could someone talk about how they fixed thier squeeking steering column when turning at slow speeds? I dont want to take it to the dealer if there is an easy fix...
I searched the archives and it was C-5 TECH that made the post about lubing the steering column bushing. His post follows:

The upper and lower column bearings are up high in the column...It is the lower column nylon bushing that makes the noise.The bushing is incased in the big gray rubber grommet visable under the hood at the firewall,were the steering shaft is.If you are good at getting into tight places,spray some white lithium grease behind the grommet...For best results,remove the steering shaft and pop the grommet out to lube the bushing (dont rotate the steering wheel with the shaft removed )...
