Default Belanger Tri-Y Headers

Has anyone installed the Bellanger Tri-Y headers? Advertisements claim 17-19 hp. Haven't heard alot about these headers, and any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm also curious if anyone knows why Belanger went with the "Y" type design that they have. It's much different from any other header design I've seen and I wonder why they think its better?

There is a couple of things that Jerry does differently than any other manufacturer. He also has a "pickle" in the collector that is there to assist in exhaust scavenging. Tri-Y, in theory, benifits from a "double collector" design in that it helps to slightly increase low end power without the expense of top end power.

I know you didn't ask this but I have worked with Chad in installing several sets of these headers in local customer cars. Because of the Tri-Y design you don't have 4 tubes coming into 1 (which makes for a larger collector). The way that Jerry builds the header from the 2 Y's to the final collector makes for a very sleek design that is an installers dream. These headers EASILY install from the bottom of the car with plenty of clearance.

Finally, I have seen several stages of production of these headers. Jerry is the only person who builds them. His craftsmanship, welding, fit, and finish (Jet Hot) is second to none.

Give us a call if you have any further questions :)

The Belanger headers are the best LT headers $$ for $$ I have tried, and I tried a few. Nice fit & design, great gains and no clearance or quality control problems, for a great value IMO at $1200-1400.

I had XTreme install mine - increased rwhp by 21 hp and rwtq by 18. That was with the headers installed and the LS-6 intake at the same time, so I can't tell how much the headers contributed by themselves.

Can't tell you about the actual increase in hp and torque, because I didn't take a before/after dyno test...can tell you that the muffler shop owner who put on my headers raved about the quality and fit...I like the added power and appreciate the lower heat of the jet coated headers.

WE sell and instal quite a few Jerry's a 2 or 3 man shop,is very **** in his design. He's better known for killer Viper header however his C5/Z06 rendition is truly a great hand crafted unit that seems to have 100%
consistent fit and finish, and out of the box they are the finest looking unit available including TTS,TPIS,to me the FLP system is the only other system I would recomend if money was an issue I would stick with the time provenTPIS most bang for the buck. You can view all these systems on our new web site,I havent seen pictures but they couldnt but there so beatul.\
As of now I drive a 427 LPE TT a total monster if Bellangers fit my turbo plumbing there would be a set on Moday AM.I'm shopping for a low mile Vert with auto to covert it to a Z06 Vert with 405 and do head/cam package and bring it to 500/550 HP/Tqe.with auto and mild 2400 stall converter and look for low 11's and after 4000 miles on goes the ATI package with 5 lbs. of boost and bring it into a 10.50 on pump gas.
Thats the beauty of Vettes add a few mods new car again.
But again the Bells ar great and no way can you go wrong and they sound great with Stingers I hate X-pipes and always tell people to install the bells and stingers under 500.00 delivered(the Stingers that is) and with the Bells you will pick up some ponnies and if you dont have an intake go for the 225.00 Blackwing together this should give you a 35+ HP at the wheels you may esen see mid 40 HP increase!!!
If we dont have then in stok we drive 15 miles and pick them up and under normal conditions we can ship within 24 hours Good Luch Dave S.

Bill is dead on! These are a great header. The tri-y design has actually been around for quite some time. I highly recommend them. :)
