Default 2004 c5 z06 problem with climate control

I have an 04 z06 that regardless how you set the climate control it blows a portion out the defroster. This cause condinsation on the outside of the windshield. Checked all areas typical for plugging everything is clear. The air works well and is dripping out the bottom as it should. Seems like the defroster is stuck open anyone have an idea how to fix this? It is crazy as I have to run my wiper on a beautiful sunny day.

Sounds like the vacuum lines under the battery. If your battery has ever leaked then I can guarantee this is the issue. Pull the battery, batt tray and have a look. If there is an type of white residue in there then you have a leak issue. You'll have to pull the inner wheel well and expose the ECM and harnesses. Pull them apart and start tracing vac lines.

Good luck!

Pulled the battery earlier and didn't see any evidence of leakage. Just purchase the vette a couple weeks ago. When you say check for a leak I am assuming with the car running and I should see one of the lines leaking?

No visible leaks with a vacuum line. You will have to inspect them for breaks or cracks visually or get a vacuum test pump and test individual lines.

Vacuum pressure perfect all the way thru. Any other ideas. Just a small amount of air goes to the defroster just enough to cause moister on the out side of the windshield. Guess next step is pulling dash apart
