Half Shaft Replacement

Hey Guys. I am new to the Corvette world and think I broke my first half shaft (hoping its not the diff). It has hardened output shafts so, I am thinking it was just a half shaft. Anyway, I am going to pull the drivers half shaft tomorrow night and check. Just wondering if I should get a new GM one or just go an an autozone or place like that for a new. Car is a 1998 6 speed making 490 to the wheels. Thanks. Does anyone have a part number for what I need?

You will likely get a lot of options on that. An aftermarket one might do just fine. It might even be made by the company that made them for GM. Your choice.

Check with Gene Culley at GM Parts House and get a real GM part. This is too important a part to take a chance on. My 2 cents.
