2001 Coupe with 60K..
TCS 1288 pops up occasionally, and seems only when making a Slow Turn into my Driveway..Left turn..!!!
also had a couple RFA Lost Communications, but not always with the TCS Code..
It has shown up a couple times when running 75-80 mph over bumpy roads...pot holes..etc
Suspect I have a loose/bad connection somewhere??
Any suggestions on where I should start..??
Read several Threads about the Yaw Rates, but baffled me..
I also have a 2001 and got the 1288 code. It has to do with the steering column sensor at the bottom of the steering column. Try taking your car to a parking lot and turn your steering wheel all the way from left to right doing some figure eights and slow turns. I think the contacts on the sensor get dirty. My code cleared after doing this a few times and hasn't come back yet. Good luck.
