Default Ready To Pull The Trigger

Looking for a cam recommendation Y2K. CAI, Catted LTs, LS6 intake, LS7 lifters/trays, PRC 243 heads, Patriot dual springs, Ported LS6 TB, Ported LS6 oil pump, LS2 chain. I have been looking at TSP Torquer V2 112LSA. Anyone recommend something different or should I pull for this cam?

Have you looked at anything from Englandgreen, I love my set up, drives great and makes really good power.

No I have not yet. The cam I'm looking at, Torquer V2 232/234 .595"/598 LSA 112, is supposed to work well with the set up I have. Reasonable hp/torque numbers and a nice lope. That's not to say I won't look elsewhere if another cam is more suitable, like EnglandGreen as you say.

What kind of use will the car see? how important is drivability, power under the curve, idle quality, etc etc. Can't really make a suggestion without knowing that.

I have a 2010 Camaro SS w/CAI/headers and Magnaflow catback as a more or less DD. I want the vette to have reasonable power/torque throughout the curve. It will be mostly a weekend/summer vert. Drivability is important as I will probably drive it to vacation destinations for its economy vs the Camaro. Just want a beefy street friendly car with a nice lope. No tracking (OK maybe once in a while just to stretch its legs). Thanx for the reply and more questions, if you have some, are welcome.

BTW the Torquer V2 was recommended by (guess who) TSP after I told them my mods.

The v2 is a 232/234 unless I am mistaken. You will make good power and the 114 LSA will keep the idle quality in check with a decent tune. I think the v2 is a great choice for what your needs are. With a good tune your drivability will remain mostly intact, while going much bigger would start to hurt.

Forgot to mention, if this car is an auto, you may need a stall to compensate for this cam.

Thanx cptinjak. You are right 232/234 595/598 but I was thinking 112 LSA. Too much?

For your goals with the car, I would stick with the 114. It will still be a noticable lope in the idle if you want, but the drivability at low rpm will be much better than the 112.

Ordered the 113 LSA. Split the difference.
