Converter install on jack stands.
I am considering doing a converter swap, when i do a rear end swap. I have read a bunch of write ups on this but everyone seems to have a lift. I do not have access to a lift so i will be doing it on my back. Is it even possible to pull the tranny on a set of stand or should i pony up some vette tax cash and have it done at a shop somewhere.

I put the jack stands under the jacking pucks. 18" isn't all that bad but it takes awhile to get it up there.
Some photos of the wooden thing I made to go under the trans pan. Your task will be easier if you leave the torque tube in the car, I think......I did it as an assembly.
Takes 2 people, balancing the mess on the jack is key.
I did this just a few months ago.
