Default Throttle body gasket

I changed out my throttle body for a Shaner ported TB, when I took the original TB off I didn't see a gasket, I put the new one on and the car is running great. My question is should there be a gasket? My service manual says there is one, but I have done a search on some of the parts house web sites and can't find anything about it. If one is required, whats the part number.

It uses a formed o-ring. Should be one on the manifold. No gasket.

So, you are saying the orange gasket on your intake is missing?

No the orange "O" ring is there, the picture in the service manual showed a full type gasket. So I guess I'm good to go doesn't appear to be any vacuum leaks car runs great.

What year service manual are you referring to? I have the 97-04 service manuals, and the GM parts manual. All show the orange gasket on the intake.

Your right after looking at it more it appears that the orange "O" ring is the gasket. I have the 2001 service manual, section 6, it talks about the TD gasket, and states to not reuse it, I guess I figured it was some type of felt gasket. I still can't find a part number though.
