Default Quick question....

Hey Guys,
Just a quick question. My '99 DIC often shows ' low coolant' warning. I checked the reservoir..it's fine. I reset the DIC a while later..same thing. Today it came on right after I started the car. Any ideas?
Thank, Jake

Are there any engine codes you can read on a scanner when it happens? Might be the level sensor going out.

I checked...no codes. Everything looks ok...I think you're right...maybe a sensor.

on the front of the expansion tank, there is a line that shows when the level is correct. the fluid only has to be a little bit under the line and the message will appear. make sure the tank is not leaking.

My '99 vert started posting the same random message. Turned out to be the sensor in the surge tank was intermittently going our of range, causing the fault.

If the level is correct then it's probably the sensor. The tank should only be about $50 and on a 99 the original tank is due to start leaking at any time.
