My TPMS sensors are not working any longer. When I start my car a message comes up to check them. How do I get this message to stop coming up without buying new sensors. Ernie

You can't, without working sensors.

All four not working? When you go to check tire pressure in the DIC you only have a blank space by the LF RF LR RR? DIC says check tire pressure, service tire pressure monitoring system? Happened to me a few weeks ago at the LS Fest after being on the dyno. Resolution of the problem for me was to disconnect the battery, Contacts looked clean, I walked away for an hour or so, came back re-attached the cables and the messages never came back and a short drive showed all four sensors operating. 99 FRC w 62K miles. Can't hurt to try and a cheap fix for me, just wish I understood why/how it solved my problem.

Do you know, if I were to take the sensors out and put regular valve stems in would the message still come up. Ernie

Yes, the message would still come up.
The ONLY way to get rid of the message is to put working sensors in the wheels.

Noticed a real increase in the number of TPMS threads, either time for batteries to go dead or weather is effecting the sensors.

Hmmmmmm, I had the same issue as the op, didn't replace anything, didn't rebuild anything, didn't do a relearn procedure, just disconnected the battery and then reconnected. Everything went back to normal and has been fine for the last 2 weeks. But rather than try that, I guess it would be better to just buy 4 new ones.

I would think your tpms would start failing one wheel at a time if it were batteries dying. Before you invest the money to tear down the wheels and replace the sensors I suggest you find a friend with an early c5. park right next to him and follow the procedure to have your c5 learn the signal from your friends working sensor. if the horn blows then your computer is working and you can proceed to step two. Step two would be to get four known good sensors and put them into an air tight pvc tube fitted with a valve so you can pressurize the tube. pump up the tube to 30 psi and follow the steps to program the sensors to the car. If this works you can continue to cheat the system for as long as you want and do nothing to your existing wheel/tire combo.
