If you activate that feature again, be sure to write down your code somewhere, or pick one that you'll easily remember.
As a side note, I keep it activated just for flashing LED on the radio face.
It gives the appearance of the car being alarmed, to those with curious eyes.

You are correct. I just figured that someone who was satisfied to stay stock, probably didn't want $450 in a bezel and $800 in a head unit. These I linked will go in the car with no modification (in spite of it saying modified fit on the site).

This is just another example of GM engineering idiots doing something to cause headaches for the owner of a vehicle. I'd be willing to bet there's never been a factory radio stolen from one of these things in history. I mean, ask your self. If you were going through the trouble of stealing a radio, would you pick one of these pieces of crap with 0 fm sensitivity and a s/n ratio of 20%, or would you steal some nice Kenwood head unit that actually has features and works. And if you already have a Vette, what in gawds name would possess a person to want one of these in the car, especially a used one.
For $129 at Crutchfield, you can replace that delco pos with a real honest to goodness head unit. I'd do that before typing in the 3 digit code.
