Default 2000 C5 with Haltech Behive

Just bought a 2000 Corvette FRC and it has only 14K miles on it. I purchased it from the owners estate and as a result was unable to question him about the car. Here is my question: though the car looks like it was kept in pristine condition I am unsure as to the last time the oil and filters and regular maintenance was performed since the former owner had been sick for about a year. I would like to do that. The car has a Haltech beehive on it. I am not sure what specific type it is. I can tell you it is red and has Haltech on it. What type and size of filter would this type of shroud need and if I want to change it what type and size do I need. It appears that the filter maybe a permanent filter that can be cleaned. If this is the case can you direct me to a site that will explain what to do and not to do when cleaning a filter. Thanks

Personally, I would have all the fluids changed anyway, oil, lube, trans, etc. We are talking about a used car. As far as the filter is concerned, Haltech is a good product no matter which model youre using. You can check any of the parts vendors here on the forum, Southern Car Parts for instance and they can tell you which filter cleaning kit to use.

thanks for the response. yes i am intending to change all the fluids and even the hoses. my big question was what type of filter do i use. are there various ypes and sizes for the Haltech set up or does the same filter fit all applications?
I did look at southern Car Parts before I posted the question and I did not see any references of specific filters to use.
