Should be a hose nipple on the outside near the top front of the valve cover - the "fresh air" hose runs from there to the nipple that is located upstream of the throttle valve. And yes, you can't see it from the inside like the photo is orientated.

Unless you SOAK the cover in a solvent or damage the gasket,, it is 100% reuseable.
If you get brake parts cleaner on it, it will cause it to SWELL and you will end up purchasing a new one. (Ask me how I know??????)
