What's the best programmer for a stock c5 and is compatible to a blower in near future ? Diablo ? Superchips ? Wondering what people like the most as far as adjustment
EFILive or HP Tuners are really the only way to fully tune your car. There's a pretty long learning curve and expect to spend $1,000 plus for the software and a wide band O2 sensor. There are several excellent professional tuners in NJ. That may be the best way to go. Stay away from the hand held tuners. They have very limited capabilities.
I agree with WKMCD. The hand held tuners are junk. Once you start serious mods, they are no good. They work off of stock parameters. I had a superchip cortex, that couldnt even do its job when I changed to 3.42 gears. There is an option for it, and it never worked. I had to go in for tuning and it was the best thing I ever did.
I also agree with WKMCD. Stay away from the hand held tuners I see you're also from Jersey. If you really want to get a good tune, your best bet would be to go to East Coast Supercharging in Cream Ridge. I'll be going there next week for their bolt-on kit(AR headers, Vararam intake, 160* t-stat and dyno tune). I've heard multiple reviews of their business, all of which spoke very highly of them, and Chris was a very helpful person to talk to, answering all of my questions.
ECS all the way. You can mail them your PCM and they will flash it with a tune based on your mods. They did mine with just long tubes and when I baselined my 00 before the head cam swap it did 330rwhp with their tune.

The main issue here is the "compatible with a blower" requirement. To accurately calibrate a supercharged application, you need what is a called a "2 bar" operating system. The stock pcm will only recognize 1 bar of MAP pressure, and any supercharged setup will be far beyond its limits.
As far as I know, no handheld tuner can do that. If you feel like learning how to tune, I would recommend HPTuners. If not, just go make friends with a reputable tuner near you.
