Switching from LS1 to LS6
I am in the process of switching my '99 racecar to an LS6 engine. I have done a search here and on the racing site and cannot find any help. Any one here done that switch and if so what all needs to be changed off the LS1 to the LS6? I have put on a new ZO6 exhaust, airbox to include air intake tube and MAF. Also, what about the computer? Can I reprogram the one I have or ??? Who is quickest and best at reprogramming?

When you decide to do a Mod, you really go whole hog!! :D I sure don't have the knowledge you're looking for, but who do you know at GM. A good well trained C5 mechanic at a good dealer would probably know the answers to your questions, and would be able to help. I'll ask the mechanic at the dealer that I have had work done, and see if he has any answers. I'll email you if I can get any answers.
Hope all is well with you, and good luck on your project. I'm thinking at present that I'll be going to Watkins Glen on July 8,9 and VIR August 23-25. My foot is getting better and I think that I'll be OK to drive on the track by then. I'm driving the Vette now, but not too aggressively. See you :cool:
