Default IPC Power

I have never heard nor seen a post asking this question, so if someone would prove me wrong I would be eternally grateful:

I was working on the IPC and soldered a faceplate's ground wire to the ground wire on the IPC (IPS black wire) and the faceplate's hot wire to the hot wire on the IPC (IPCs blue wire). Turned it on, and smelled smoke (not sure what I did wrong).

So, now I tested the blue wire (IPC Hot) and am getting no power. Has anyone opened the IPC or now if it has a fuse inside or does the IPC need to be replaced?

Symptoms:
No power from the HOT IPC wire.
HUD wont turn on.
The UV light that illuminates the gauges functions normally.
The DIC buttons light up and function.

Thanks for any input or life lessons that you'll would care to provide

Hmmmmmmm,,, Power wires in a GM vehicle are normally

RED (Battery Hot at all times)

Orange Fused (Hot at all times )

Pink (Switched HOT)

Here is the IPC Power schematic

All GM module or power grounds are either BLACK or Black with a white strip

lucky131969 - Thanks for the fuse info - both fuses 19 and 25 are functioning properly.

Bill - I took a pic of the wires I used.

I have a thread going that I neglected this past weekend, but will get back to it tomorrow night.

If I figure it out, I'll let you know.
Were you able to figure this out? Did you solve the DIC lights always ON problem?
