Got an lq4 from supposedly a 99 gmc work truck. I thought they didnt come out till 2002ish but whatever. Its the one with the slightly longer trans flange on the crank. I think the 01 ls1 i had was .857" and this one is 1.25" or so. Im now stuck tryin to find a starter thatll reach the flywheel teeth of that t56. Will a gto starter work? I know an 03 escalade and 05 hummer dont. Thanks for the input
Correct on the early crank flange, I think it changed in 00 or 01
when you say teeth of the T56, you mean teeth of the flywheel? and if the clutch gets pushed back 400 thou what does that do with bellhousing clearance and the input shaft vs clutch disc and relation of the slave to the pressure plate?
I always wondered why they ran the oddball flange in those early six liter trucks?
