MMS Valvespring owners look inside!
At the bottom of your post, you say to visit your website with a link........only problem is your sit is not up yet.......when will your site be up
Also do you work on LT1s??
Would one of you please answer (instead of seeming to ignore) this question posed above since I too am wondering what the answer is  Does the original MMS warranty prorate spring just like tires are prorated  very
A one year warranty is a one year warranty is'nt it ?
Regarding my post on the springs, the warranty and the solution.
Most of the failures have been with springs that are less than 3 months old. We are providing a 100% credit.
I opted for a $75 to compensate those inconvenienced, more specifically the recent cases of problems.
Customers that have had our springs for more than six months have had a very small failure rate. The failure rate of springs since the use of Comp 941's to six months ago is very small. I'd estimate about 0.1%
In lieu of our warranty we are offering the terms I laid out in my initial post. All future warranty are from the manufacture. For example Comp offers a 12 month limited warranty.
So if your springs are six months old, then you receive a total credit of $141.98 towards the purchase of new springs. If you decide to use comp 918 springs then you will receive a one year warranty on the springs through comp cams. This would be at total equivalent warranty for 18 months.
We have made every effort to provide a viable spring solution for the LS1. Once again, when there were a lot of failures occurring with the Comp 941 springs many people were left high and dry to replace them at their own cost. MMS worked with all our customers that had spring issues, but we realized that this would be a continuing problem if a change wasn't made.
I get all this feedback about this or that spring. Well the fact of the matter is that all springs will have a certain failure rate. I have some customers that have been running our product for more than 3 years and haven't had a failure. I have many customers happily running Comp 941's without incident. It seems that the forums exagerates problems that occur, but the forum is just one small cross section of the buying public. Those on the forum are likely, more aggressive with the usage of their vehicles. Therefore, there will be more incidents of failure.
Initial failure of our springs were minimal. Latter batches resulted in more frequent failure. Once I determined that the springs were no longer meeting our expectations then I offered a solution.
Now it may not be a solution that 100% of the people agree with, but it is a solution that the majority can appreciate and understand. It is a preventative offer that is mostly focused towards those with springs less than 3 months old. If you've had our springs for 10months(for example) with trouble free operation, then consider yourself part of the majority of our customers.
Finally, as a general rule of thumb, I would recommend inspecting all springs used in high performance applications every 12-15000 miles.
Actually, I would prolly pull the heads myself then ship them out.
