In lieu of this offer, MMS will no longer warranty the valvesprings, but all other parts will continue to have the 1 yr warranty against material defects and workmanship. The warranty only covers the cylinder heads and not any labor or incidental or consequential damage. They are also not covered in cases of abuse, negligence or improper usage. Copy of warranty will be made available by request.
All replaced parts will carry a manufacture warranty only. This will not cover replacement costs unless specifically stated by the manufacture.
What has the failure rate been and how big is the risk of just leaving them in? How concerned do I need to be about this?
ps: $75 doesn't quite cover the inconvenience of a) a 1200 mile roundtrip drive to have you do the work, b) shipping you the heads and taking the bus for a couple weeks while you do the work.
..Come on guys! The remedy for the valve spring/motor implode issue is to revert your motor back to stock...Got a problem with that??
That guy's motor was not covered under warranty. MMS did him a pretty nice favor giving him a $4000 stock longblock free to help him sell his car. Did WCC give that guy who broke his 3.90 rear end racing a free set of stock gears?
RE the valve springs, if you have a few thousand miles on the car and haven't broken a spring I wouldn't worry about it. Most of the failures seem to happen right away if they are going to happen.
Sent you an email yesterday about swapping mine for the Comp Cams 918s while my car is at your shop. If you have another spring you recommend let me know. Look forward to those dyno numbers!
I had a local shop replace my Valve Springs while they were on the engine. It took 4 hours or so and it was finished. If you are really wanting to have that done you dont have to go back to MMS. :nono:

You have a 218 cam, your lift is not as great as a 224 or 226, you may have a less chance of a problem.
Went on another redline run (about 6 times) with my brother up to 6500 RPM's with MMS's 229 112 cam...no problems with springs here! I can't wait to see how it works with my S/C!
Oh I actually barked 4th gear to my great surprise. :D
