Battery tray holding block
Hi all,
So, I am in a pickle. I don't know if I had a brain fart or what here on this one. I tried to remove my batt today, but when turning the little holding block bolt that screws down to the tray bottom, I have found that there is a nut under the tray that is just turning with the bolt. Thus I cannot loosen the holder block to get the batt out
How would I grab the nut under there(it is very tight) to be able to remove the bolt/block? Is the nut under there even supposed to move or did the tray break under there.....I would think there would be some pocket that the nut would just fit into so it wouldn't turn when securing the bolt to it.

The nut is "usually" spot welded to the bottom of the tray. May have broken if it was overtightened at some point. You could try coming in through the fenderwell. IIRC the nuts are SQUARE.
