I'm with Hemmerman on this one. Leave it the way it is and have some fun with it! I'm also new to C5's...Just bought my first. It's also a 2000 like yours. It came with a few bolt-ons......headers/ exhaust, CA intake...nothing crazy. Anyway my point is that at first I wasn't that impressed with the power/acceleration but now that I've been driving it for a few weeks, I'm feeling differently. It rips!........Have fun...save the money for the tickets!

I think if from a stand still I could smoke the tires I'd be more impressed. But it at a full stop and wheels straight I punch it and it just takes off. Granted it pulls hard, just not hard enough to break free
