By "regulator",I meant the whole assembly including the motor. I just found a bad passenger regulator with a working motor,plugged it into my harness,and it works. There is no ground wire in the harness to the motor,but the bad regulator works without touching the car. I'm not sure where the ground is in the system,but I ordered a new regulator. Thanks for the input.
