Pedal starting to head down before engaging clutch. 80K miles of daily driving.

Did a SEARCH in this thread and others. Wide variety of options, clutch packages, race this, drag that. Bear with me on a generalist question or survey.

Recommendations on a clutch for spirited, daily driven C5 Z06? I'll give my friends over at LG Motorsports a call. Just curious what you guys think.

Please help me understand. Why does the pedal travel/engagement symptom mean a new clutch is in order? Could it also indicate a fluid or hydraulic problem? I would have thought that a new clutch is indicated only if it's actually slipping.

Yeah, I was off base on that. Checking that first. There is some slipping.

If and when you do end up replacing your clutch, I'd be interested to know which you chose. I may be in a similar situation soon enough.

I love to mod everything but I used the stock clutch because I just didn't want any problem with a aftermarket clutch. I liked my stock pedal so I wanted the same. I replaced everything with stock, I have 429hp at the rear and don't have any problems with the stock clutch but I don't track the car.
