Default 98 Clutch issues

I live abroad and so my car stays in storage in a family garage....it gets riven once every 2-3 months by the brother-in-law.. 1998, im the second owner since I purchased in 2000 had 9k..... now it has 60k...never driven hard...100% stock.

Was home last time and the clutch stuck to the floor, I popped it back up with my foot and it still engages just fine and drives normal. But there is play/gap in the top 1/3 of the pedal so I can tell something isnt right.

I've been using the ranger method since this first happened to me once back in 2005 and have never had any issues till this time.

The odd thing is this time after I changed the reservoir the fluid never gets dirty again...seems to not be circulating no matter how much I drive it...

Any thoughts...?

Your not the famous FISHING Bill Dance are you~??

YES,, I have a recommendation having a simular issue.

The very FIRST thing that I would do would be replace the MASTER CYLINDER. Its inexpensive and the repair is pretty simple.

If your master isnt properly circulating the fluid, I would replace it.

Pedal going to the floor and then pumping up is usually the master cylinder. I have an old S-10 pickup that sits for months at a time and sometimes the brakes act like that (!!!). A change in fluid and some more frequent use got it going again.

The years, mileage and cold weather coming on might make it prudent to put some money away for a slave cylinder change sometime in the near future.
