I have a 2000 FRC and I'm looking at buying the Callaway Honker intake. On their website they list 2 part numbers (for 1997-2000 models and 2001-2004 models). Is this because of the LS6 intake vs. the LS1 intake?
It is because of the different MAF diameters. 75mm for pre 2001 and 85mm for 2001+.
If you paln to do the MAF swap in the future, get the later model kit and do the MAF at the same time and go in for a tune. Otherwise you will have to play with customizing or buying a new intake if you do it down the road.

Got it thanks! What kind of gains can I expect by upgrading to the Callaway Honker and an LS6 intake?

Id say you can pick up 15whp with both if you get a tune after. The 2000 model has the best cam of the base models and still had the crappy LS1 intake. Those two mods will really open up some airflow.

Great...that's news to me. I had no idea they put different cams in different model years. What was the purpose of that? Also, do the 2001+ and Z06 models have different throttle bodies than the 2000? I'm ultimately looking to increase performance as much as possible without messing with emmissions (California). I already have the Corsa Pace Car exhaust and I am getting ready to install the LS6 intake and a Corsa X-pipe.

Not sure why the cams were changed. But those with 2000 models got the best of the base model C5's. All had the same TB. Your best bet is to port and polish it. A professional p&p with an upgraded throttle plate can make a true 78mm TB matched to the 78mm LS1/LS6 snout. The later models got an 85mm MAF, while the earlier got a 75mm. You could do the conversion with an adapter harness and larger intake ducting. Obviously allot more tuning is required for that.
