Default Tire replacement

Do I need to replace the seals on the valve stems(TPMS). Removing GY EMT's replacing with Nitto 555 same sizing.
I do not have any leaks just worn tires at 40K klms with no aggressive driving.

I would. They are most likely old and will never be easier to do than now.

If you don't, you will regret it. No time like the present!

You will be happy with the Nitto's. Unless you like to hear the GY tires whinning down the road.

You can pick up those o-rings for like $2 at just about any plumbing/hardware store. I see no reason not to change them.

DiscountTire has the kit $3 per tire , I guess it is cheap insurance. I thought more owners would report air leaks from these , being 10 yrs old .

Thanks for the input.

It may be cheap insurance to replace the seals, but your sensors are near the end of their battery life if they are the originals. They will be failing soon.

You might want to consider replacing the sensors or rebuilding yours with new batteries.

TPMS rebuild kits (o-ring, valve core, valve cap, and nut) are $1.66 at Rock Auto. And yes, replace them. I just went through that and had to do the job twice because I didn't replace them the first time.
