Default Bolt-On recommendations 01 C5

I have a perception of what I would like to do with my engine. Figured I would get some feedback from those who have been around Vette's for a while. I am looking at bolt on performance in the short term before I look into getting the A&A supercharger kit sometime next year and would like some input on my ideas. My current set up is a 2001 C5 A/T, B&M rebuilt transmission, 3.15 performance axel, Borla Touring exhaust

I'm looking at installing:
>LT Headers
>LS6 ported/polished heads w/ Titanium retainers, 2.02"/1.57" valves w/59cc chambers
>Camshaft 220/224 (or possibly 224/230)
>K&N Intake set up

Along with a dyno tuning from a guy in my area who is highly spoken of by GM enthusiasts (specializes in late model GM performance).

Right now, with what little I have, he's got my car up at 310 rwhp and 325ft-lbs torque on the dyno just tweaking what is there, says he could pull some more out with a little more time fine tuning numbers without adding anything else (visiting him again next weekend to do just that).

What sort of gains would I see from those bolt ons listed above? I'm taking a stab at 410-420 rwhp from what is listed above, anybody have any better guess than myself?

Sounds good, was debating between the 2 cam sizes, don't want to go too big and make it an uncomfortable ride. Not me tuning though lol, I got a guy who is very fluent with Vette's doing my tuning, he's a miracle maker with the computer.

IMHO I wouldn't bother with a cam if you're going to just supercharge it next year. I would do intake, headers, 3.42 rear end, and a torque converter, mail order tune, and call it a day until you supercharge.

To give you an idea of what all that, minus the heads, will do for you, may I suggest you take a look at our project C5:

I wouldnt do the K&N intake intake. Manifold yes, but the FI kit will make any aftermarket intake useless as it will come with its own filter setup. Heads, intake manifold, long tube headers would all be great support for a supercharger.

The final numbers will very greatly depending on the port job done on the heads and your cam selection but with some good port work and a good cam selection I see your estimates to be well within reason.

I'll probably be looking at roller rockers as well if I'm doing the heads and cam anyways, thanks for the tip on the intake manifold, sounds like a solid suggestion that I will consider. I'll probably throw those in the mix.

I will probably do the K&N regardless, I know that it's going to get replaced with the S/C but I'd like to have the 'breathability' available for when I get the new heads in since the S/C will be somewhere down the road.

You have an LS6 intake manifold already, but I think you would stand to gain allot with a FAST intake. Especially when going FI in the future. Its expensive, but a great upgrade. I picked up 15whp on my bolt on's only 99 LS1. Thats from a tuned LS6 intake i had done prior. We were very surprised to pick that much up with stock heads and cam still on the car, (not even long tubes). Of course this was with the FAST92mm and an LS2 TB I did a self p&p on. But you can bet the gains will be far better for a p&p 243 heads swap and cam upgrade, let alone the supercharger.

The new 92mm intakes are cheaper than ever now too. And to give you an idea. My Car put down 340 at the wheels. So I am looking forward to my heads and cam upgrade. I think the numbers will be quite impressive. You can expect the same. Remember, you will need to upgrade the injectors. Im already at 90% duty cycle without heads and cam.
