Default ARH Header install HELP

I know another header install help post but im going insane. My brother and I have been struggling for 2 hours on the passenger side header. The driver went in just fine.

Passenger side I have the starter OUT, I have the valve cover off. I just cant see how it goes in from the top or bottom. Does anyone have any experince with this.

Its a 99 C5 FRC m6. 1 3/4" headers.

Clear out your pm box.

From my understanding ARH is one of the best & easiest headers (1-3/4")
to install.

Loosen the engine mounts, and lift the motor a bit on the passenger side.

Here's a thread that helped me- http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...tallation.html

Goes in from the bottom. Car needs to be at least 18" in the air. Basically, point it up in there and twist around until it pops by the AC line. I didn't loosen the mount, but that should help as well.

The XSPower is a copy and they fit but were tight in that area too. Stick the front end up by the engine and then shove the back end up between the bellhousing and tunnel. If it doesn't want to go you might need more height. The clips for the O2 sensors likely have to come off the frame or you'll just knock them off anyways.

I was hoping Steve would pipe in here. Take him up on his generous offer and I'm sure they will pop right in after talking with him.

Kevin I saw you at Carlisle in 2011, you seemed to have gained a bit of weight?

My cheapies (don't know brand, bought used) went in from top without removing valve cover or starter, just had to remove coils and get the angle right and persuade it past the AC line. Having a little problem bending the AC line out of the way though, probably easier to bend it as far toward the frame before installing.

LOL and I need a shave.

BTW: I'm sure you can put ARH LT's on in your sleep by now. If the OP is smart, he'll make the call.

Dude! I can't believe you are still struggling with this. PM Steve for his phone number. He's installed billions and billions of these.

Short of calling Steve on a Sunday, (his number is just below his avatar...), what is the actual problem keeping you from finishing up? Maybe we can help.

-Do you have the car up high enough? 18-20 inches at the chassis

-Motor mounts loosened?

-Extra set of hands to help?

-AC lines carefully pushed close to the frame rail?

Can't imagine anything else that could be impeding your progress. Please chime in!
