Default Corbeau install #2

No success with the right rear seat mount. Rounded the seat bracket to try and shape in to the R&D bar. Still did not allow enough room to get a bite on the nut.Thinking I will install a longer stud to alleviate this. Has anyone had this problem? Several pics, old and new. Thanks,

Toque (Mark): thanks for the approval. I think the red is a shade or so off the torch red but I don't think it will be that noticeable. Thanks for your help with the questions I had on the seats.

Looks good! (Too much red for me) but one of my favorite seats!!! And they are looking good. May I ask, what is that object extending out between your seats? Is that a camera mount? If so, any closeups of your rig?

It is a camera mount. Here are several pics that I have. Hope they help.

Can't really tell how the seats will feel. The one seat in the car appears to be comfortable, just sitting in it, but I will wait and see how the driver's seat feels after it's installed and I take a short trip. Hopefully, that will not be too long.

Seats are looking good I presume you are going to leave them in there permanently. It is not a big deal adding longer studs for the seats. They are just tack welded in 2 or 3 places on the bottom of the car. Doesn't take long to dremel them off then you can put in some longer grade 8 bolts. Hardbar makes some stud extenders, but they are $25? a piece. If you add the longer bolts, I would look at adding a strip of steel to the underside where the bolts go through. The metal looks pretty thin there. You could check with Sperkins in the AX/RR section as that is how he installed his.

Hope to see you at the track next spring.

What are/who did those "modified" version of the stock style red & black leather seats in the first photo of this post?

I'm convinced that seats are what I will get for myself as a promotion gift.

I run my 98 A4 at Summit Point in West Virginia and the difference Corbeau seats made in my car control is massive! I am much more "connected" to the car and can focus on driving versus trying not to slide around in my seat. One of the best mods I've made!

silverbird, the seats were made by DJMotorsports several years ago. Have had excellent wear with the covers.

Edmond, I don't think you can go wrong with these seats.

aobrien14, I totally agree with you. My last HPDE this year I was fighting more to stay in the seat rather than driving.
