A few weeks ago when trying to start my 01, I got the dreaded 'click.' Battery tested good & good under load. I replaced the starter/solenoid new about a year ago. Checked all solenoid connections to ensure they were tight. I have NOT tried bumping the solenoid yet.
Now it just intermittently 'clicks' (maybe once every 5 or 10 starting attempts). When it does, I can retry and it will start after a few attempts.
The only DIC code is c1213 (yeah, I know, I need to pull bcm & fix that...)
Did a search & found some with same problem cleaned key w/ pencil eraser and electrical contact cleaner in ignition switch to correct problem.
My question is: If problem is dirty key/ignition switch (fixable by cleaning contacts), will it still 'click???'
