help /help hud unit quit,checked all connections/fuses/replaced switch. gave up and sent unit to gm repair aer tech. they claim bad board, repaired? and sent it back to me. still no work, what else in this unit can go bad, i assumed aer would bench test and if it worked they would let me know that was not the problem, maybe i guessed wrong, looking for ideas?? help!!! thanks to blue

There are two fuses... If your IPC works,, they are good. For the HUD to work,, you have to get the Meter out and do some testing.
There are EIGHT pins on the HUD connector. Pin 8 is ground and pin 7 is Ignition voltage. Pin 5 is a clock signal, pin 3 is a Strobe signal. Pin 1 is the display down, pin 2 is display up, pin 4 is Data and pin 6 is dimmer signal
What does your Display do when you plug it in?
If it were me,, I would meter probe the IPC connector and see if your are getting power from the IPC (pins 7 & 8
If you have power, disassemble the HUD and make sure that the internal connectors and circuit boards are properly connected and the board is not damaged..
have power and ground pins 7&8, mirror moves. but no light up of display. i sort of thought aer tech. would have told me unit was ok, when they put it on the bench to test, but they claimed broken board, charged $$$ for repair and shipped it back???
