Default fuel injector help please

put in an LS6 intake mani, ported TB, coolant bypass, and LG CAI today

everything went smooth but had put the clamp holding the fuel injector to the fuel rail closest to the driver seat on a bit cockeyed...sprayed fuel when I started the car...reseated the clamp/clip and no leaks while running, but leaks at the connection of the fuel rail and injector after car is **** off...everything appears to be seated well

how do you get the injector off the fuel rail after clip is off?

does it just pull out?

gave it a decent tug but don't want to force it and brake it.

need to examine the O ring or the injector end for cracks.

also, if I have to by new ones I might just buy a whole set of 42 lb injectors...is there a downside to running these on a full bolt on car until I get a power adder or bigger cubes?

The injector just pulls out. If you get larger injectors you will most likely have to have the tune adjusted for the larger injectors. If you're only bolt ons then you're fine with the stock injectors. My previous '99 had cam/exhaust and was fine with the stock 26lb injectors.

Use a drop or two of clean motor oil to lubrcate o-rings when seating. Fuel injector seal "kit" (all 16) GM part #12482706.

Do NOT install large injectors without supporting mods and a tune.

If allot of modifications are planned for the near future, (and I mean really near) IE: heads and cam, it might not be a bad time to upgrade. What are your plans for the vehicle? Most of us only really ever see the need for 36lb injectors with heads, cam, LT headers, etc. You may want to drop to something like this or look into the Ford red-tops.
It is not going to be good to put them on at this time however. You will first be confronted by the price of the injectors, the price of the tune, and then your car may not run to well with such over sized injectors on a stock engine.
Its just a shame to buy and put stockers back on if you are going to need upgraded injectors anyway...
