Shifter woes (alignment??)
hey all,
I have my interior apart and the shifter apart, and I was wondering if there is anything that I could do to make sure my shifter is aligned correctly?
I have had issues with 1st and 5th engagement since I got the car with only 36k on it.
It just seems like 1st and 5th want to grind or be difficult to engage when going at any speed. Whether up or down shifting.
I had my mechanic do the anti-venom mod.... but it didnt feel like much changed.... given who knows maybe he didnt do it right.
Anyways.... just wondering what things I can look for right now to make sure things are right.
I am getting tired of not being able to run through all my gears correctly when spiritedly driving

I'm no expert and I'm not sure if you saw this from your previous requests, but watch the video on the MGW web site. It will walk you through the whole procedure. Watch the video for replacing the stock C5 - C6 shift box installation. The principles are the same. If that doesn't work, I can send you some tips that Mr. Curlee sent me.

Yep saw the video. Was great for the tear down, but I didnt see much as for gear alignment or anything after the install.
If you could send me what you came up with and if it was successfull that would be great!!
